Add the chosen Colour Additive directly to your lightener, selecting the shade to counter unwanted tones. Use sparingly - these pigments are highly concentrated - and mix thoroughly. WHEN TO USE EACH
COLOUR ADDITIVE
The use of each additive is based on colour wheel principles, where opposite tones neutralise each other. For example, red counteracts green, blue neutralises orange, and violet eliminates yellow. By selecting the correct additive for the underlying tone, you can create a cleaner, more balanced base for accurate colour results.
Red – Counteracts unwanted green tones
Blue – Neutralises orange/brassy tones
Green – Reduces red undertones
Violet – Eliminates yellow tones
Yellow – Softens overly violet hues
